MTBO Injury Database
The MTBO Commission has launched an Injury Database to collect data on injuries that happened at MTBO competitions. The objective is to collect the information related to the accident for the benefit of understanding risks associated with MTBO competitions, and to improve safety as much as reasonable. Please report noteworthy injuries by filling in the google docs form. Thank you! Sandor Talas has made a short analysis of the MTBO competition injuries reported in the MTBO Injury Database. It focuses on the accidents which happened between 2012 and 2018.

GNSS / GPS list
On the GNSS list you will find those GNSS devices (GPS, GLONASS, etc.) that are deemed LEGAL and ILLEGAL for MTBO events. As always, we have to stress that this list is only a guide and far from being definitive. The latest version 12 dates from February 2019.
The list includes expanded instruction to organisers of IOF events (World Champs, World Cups and WREs). In short: If organisers plan to check the devices before the start, make sure that there is a possibility to review devices earlier (for example at registration) with no time pressure. Sometimes it takes time to clarify the capabilities of a certain device.
Thanks a lot to Peter Simmonds who is the creator of this list and who is updating it regularly.
