Information and Documents for Organisers and Event Advisers


Applications
Major events:
All IOF member federations are invited to submit an application to host a major event:
  • World MTBO Championships for Elite and Juniors WMTBOC/JWMTBOC
  • European MTBO Championships for Elite and/or European Junior and Youth MTBO Championships EJYMTBOC
  • a World Cup round
  • World Masters MTBO Championships WMMTBOC 
The deadlines for applications are listed on the IOF website. Organisers are kindly requested to send their application to the IOF Office with a copy to the MTBO Commission: mtbo.commission(at)gmail.com.

The application documents for each event are available on the IOF website. They consist of the application form, the guidance notes and the IOF standard agreement. Apart from the guidance notes, the following documents will help organisers to prepare their application:
  • IOF policy on conflicting event dates   
  • IOF event fees for application period 2020 (sanction fees and contribution anti-doping)     
  • Events application overview 2021-2025   

World Ranking Events:
The deadline for applications is always 30 September the year before the event. However, due to COVID-19 and the impact on organising events, the IOF Office will be more flexible about late applications for the season 2021. Please read the clarification regarding the organisation of WREs for the season 2021.
